Where to host mobirise websites8/3/2023 I can't get rid of Bluehost as it renewed and I am outside the window (it renewed at huge money and I didn't have a new direction to go nor was I ready to try to transfer my sites elsewhere). I made an FTP account, I thought I followed the directions, and clearly I didn't, but I'm stuck.Ĭould someone lay out the steps to take to create an FTP account properly (maybe explain more about it like I'm a 5 year old) and how to use Mobirise to publish to the FTP? Or, honestly, if someone else has a cheap alternative for website design software that isn't monthly money per site but easy for videos that are right in the page and seamless, I'd love to hear it. I tried making a sort of test one page site for one of my domains currently not built and for the life of me, I can't figure out the publishing to FTP thing. My gaming website/blog is still in Wordpress and looks pretty good still but I can't even manage to replicate it now for coming soon type pages.Īll that to say, I discovered Mobirise is free and offline and cheap to get all the bells and whistles I could want (looks like a package of everything is 99-149 bucks). I want to put a video on the front page, have an about and contact page, you know, simple. I don't want to pay so much money for what essentially amounts to landing pages right now. I started to use weebly through bluehost, which is pretty useful except in order to make the sites more professional (my company, my portfolio, a podcast in the making, pages for my company's projects that I am prepping for Kickstarter, etc.), I'd have to pay to upgrade and change the footer and have more options. So I have a Bluehost hosting account and a few websites that I've had over 3 years - I hate wordpress after several years of getting annoyed, learning enough to make it work, and then it gets updated and I'm annoyed more than ever.
